The Fates

One of the new poems I've written, I started by singing it as I was crocheting. I started singing it, then grabbed my iPod and recorded as I sang. I'm not a very vocal person, so this was a new medium for me, to vocalize my words instead of just writing them. It's a wonderful feeling, to try something new, I hope this inspires you, to try something different when your stuck. The universe is always changing, we are apart of the universe and thus are always changing.

Song of the Fates

Oh, the spinner is always spinning,
the spinner is always spinning, spinning new lives into thread.
Oh, the weaver is always weaving,
the weaver is always weaving, weaving each thread into life.
Each thread holds the other, never one shall stray,
for if it were to unwind, the picture would unravel.
Oh, the spinner is always spinning, the spinner is always spinning.
Oh, the weaver is always weaving, the weaver is always weaving.
Oh, the spinner is always spinning, spinning new lives into the divine, thread she's always spinning.
Pass the twine to the weaver.
Oh, the weaver is always weaving, weaving the tapestry of life.
One thread holds the other, another holds another.
All the threads make a picture, a beautiful picture to behold.
With every life that passes, another thread is there.
Forever the picture is changing, forever is the picture of life.
Oh, one threads holds the other, not one more important,
they're all beautiful and wonderful pieces, of the tapestry of life.
Oh, the spinner is always spinning, the spinner is always spinning.
Oh, the weaver is always weaving, the weaver is always weaving.
They're the creating the tapestry of life from up in the heavens.
They are the sisters of fate, whom spin our lives into thread,
weave them into being, to make the life we know.
Every thread holds another, every thread is important,
we're all divinely woven, into the tapestry of life.

The sisters of fate have always reminded me of a spider, perhaps that's why I sang of them while crocheting. I also believe they are one of the symbols of creativity, and putting love, or soul into what you're doing. They put souls into thread, and put them into being. They work in harmony together, they are the quintessential artist. The sister also remind me of autumn, for autumn is facing morality with brilliance. They are eternal, making us, reaping us, re-spinning us.

Busy Autumn

It's been a busy two months, and it will continue to be busy well into winter. My Husband and I are working with my parents to fix up their house, and We've both looking for better jobs etc...
One of my favorite rooms, my sitting room
Working on the house has left me drained, it's a bunch of small stuff that has to be done, but it's all on a time restraint. I have the tendency to over work and keep going even when my body says I need a break, I don't want to lose that focus on what I'm doing. Well, I'm taking a break from that right now, the universe has sent me the message to rest and focus elsewhere for a while. How do I know this? As I washed the dishes, one of the cup handles came off and sliced my thumb rather deeply. I was forced to rest and do light house work around the house so I didn't reopen it. So, I read Shamanic Experience by Kenneth Meadows (very eye opening, and it's not religious, it just opens your eyes) I worked on small projects, and creative projects, and I worked on my Mario Cart skills. I suffered no more injuries. I was able to relax and open my creative mind, something I've been yearning to do, but haven't had the time to do.
Part of the office/creative area
I have made a few more poems, and some art work, that I will share soon. I've been inspired by the autumn energy. It may not be the most vibrant foliage we've had, but it's warm and exciting. I hope you all are having a wonderful Autumn.
